Just ordered the Hel 2 for primary use with my PS4 and Mac (home). Backorder is 4-6 weeks but will still be worth it. May also end up getting a Creative Blaster G6 which is in stock. Once the Hel 2 arrives I'll just move the G6 over to my work PC or sell the G6.

Good to see this older gen. AKM chips still get chosen.

I have a AK4490 chip sitting in my 2 y/o Questyle CMA400i DAC/Amp and it has a pleasing slight warm and transparant signature which i still enjoy today.

This is a classic chip and maybe the first of the "good" AKM generation.
Some people might be snobbish about it but I have enjoyed it in a lot of devices.
As always it is a matter of implementation and Schiit by now they have the experience to squeeze every last bit of it.

Actually AKM is less a matter of implementation than ESS, I'm interested to hear if Mike can outdo the rest with the 'programmable' chips. AKM is cut and paste, at least that what I understood Mr. Stoddard to mean in his latest youtube video.
