I was confused at the enable/disable volume. I had thought that enable would enable the volume control and that disable would fixed when using with active monitors/speakers ie when disable, volume of amp will at max and that the active speakers/monitors would then be used for volume control. Anyway, I set mine at enable volume and currently using headphones. Need to get xlr to xlr or xlr to 6.35mm wires to connect to my active monitors. On medium gain with my hd600 balanced, I'm at 4+ for pop/rock and 7+ for soft classical and on the SE headphone jack with hd800, I'm at 6+ with pop/rock and 8+ for soft/classical music.

Yeah, I was surprised there was no fixed output option. I mean It's fine as It goes to a speaker amp and at 50 volume I'm fine doing the rest on the other amp.
