Interested on hearing your comparison between 940 and MT220

I no longer have the 940s! But from memory, the SRH940s are brighter, less bass impact, sounds more "analytical" perhaps even a tad colder (on some genres like Metal) but vocals are so excellently reproduced (mids are excellent).
On the MT220, sound is a bit more "full" as its sub-bass/mid-bass are more present but not over-bearing at all. If the song has it, it will show it. Seems that it's a bit boosted up-top and pronounces/produces more hiss on the upper registers but not enough to make me shoot myself! lol
All in all, both are excellent choices, but if you want a bit more presence in the low regions (and a bit less detailed mids), the Yamaha's are pretty good to my ears!
