I am doing great Tom22. I ended up doing all of my mainbreview using the treble filter as it was the only one that brought the signature into something I could ultimately live with. But I want to stress that lovers of a signature like the XBA-H3 and other bass heavy warm IEM's will very likely fall in love with this IEM's signature.

I actually do like the signature with the treble filter and find I can always turn on treble boost if I feel it is still lacking. But I do think the IEM will be a secondary IEM for me as I just prefer a more neutral signature and one with more detail and stronger treble. But it is a darn enjoyable IEM.

Good job Dweaver, glad you don't succumb to the hype and give and open and unbiased opinion.  I have been very interested in RHA products, since I discovered in my local Apple store one day waiting for my daughter to get help from Apple service.  I am a fan of the look, but just have not been able to sample them anywhere, so your comments were insightful.

200$ for these, or 300$ for shure SE425?? As a drummer I love having a good bass sound, but also like to hear the articulated brilliant sound of the cymbals (I know that the SE425 doesn't have a perfect treble, but they are amazing at midrange). Also the isolation is very important while I'm playing, and you said the T10i are not as good as shure in this matter. What about the weight? Did the T10i feel a little too heavy while wearing it for a long period of time?
Great great great GREAT review!!!!

dweaver have you tried the 750's before? If so, how does the bass of the 10i compare to the 750's.

CesarLP, the weight of these is more due being metal but they are very comfortable in ear and I could wear them for hours on end. I do have concerns about whether they will produce cymbals well enough for your liking though.

Raybone, I have not heard the 750 yet but am planning to do so in the future.

OK, interesting turn of events, I switched to the medium tips from the large ones and have noticed a change. The bass is ever so slightly less heavy, the mids are slightly more revealing, and the treble is sounding more extended. I think I was getting to much stuffiness or seal with the larger tip. Given the change in the sound I think my treble reservations are not as strong now. Cymbals in particular while still not bright are more complete sounding.

Hey dweaver, I'm debating between acquiring this or the Shure SE425, of which I can acquire for a little more than $200 at the moment. My tastes are very similar to yours, but I'm unsure about SE425's performance. Thank you for your input.

Unfortunately I have no experience with the Shure BA based IEM's so can't say for sure which would be better for you.

The 425 will have a replaceable cable and better isolation but beyond that I can't say much other than basic differences between BA and dynamic technology. I would suspect the T10i will have a lot more bass emphasis in comparison to the 425 while the 425 will probably have more punch and detail in the bass area. Shure mids are usually top notch and I would expect that to be where the 425 will shine the most. Conversely Shure usually has rolled off treble so it is very possible the treble will have similar levels of politeness between the two IEM's.

In the end do you want lost of detail or a more fun sounding IEM.

Thanks for the timely reply. I already own a pair of Shure SE215s that I generally use when I'm in the mood for fun sounding music, so think I'll go with the SE425s for more intimate listening. At the end of the day, I only like to indulge in a bit of bass every now and then, so I'll have to push the T10i aside for now, especially since I already own a pair of headphones with what I assume is a similar profile.

A good review, but nothing was said about how wide does it sound compared with K712s at least or multi BA iems?

The K712 is an open back full size headphone with a completely different signature so the comparison is skewed accordingly in favor of the K712 as is instrument separation and detail.

In comparison to other multi BA IEM's it again will depend on signature as most of those IEM's are more balanced. The UE900 has better instrument separation and clarity but is actually pretty close to the same size a sound stage. The Sony XBA-3 has a similar size sound stage that might be a bit more intimate. The XBA-H3 is slightly larger due to slightly more recessed mids. I have the XE800 which is a GR07 bio cellulose driver variant and I would say it is a wider sound stage. I also am starting to use an Altone200 which feels like it has a larger sound stage. Both the Altone200 and XE800 are also vastly different signatures though, one being quite balanced and bright, the other a pretty strong V shape.

Exellent review dweaver! They seem to have a really slim build so do you think they would be annoying annoying to wear whilist laying down on one's side?

Thanks for the fine review; looking forward to a comparison with the 750s.

Sorry for being a scrub, but how do these compare to the IE80? My birthday is coming up, as is black friday, so I'm deciding whether or not to pick these or the IE80s up. Thanks!

Sorry for missing the past set of questions.

For sleeping Iactually find these quite comfortable and I can lie on my side.

Unfortunately I have been unable to arrange a 750 comparison yet.

I have not heard to IE80 but from memory I would say they are similar to the IE8 in signature but more comfortable. I believe at least 1 person has commented on these and the IE80 in one of the threads and he prefers the T10i.

Thank you very much for your review.
I've recentely purchased the m750i model but I had to send it back for a cable issue
In the meanwhile I've found a good offer on DJE-1500 and I'm really enjoying it but, unfortunately, I need something with remote: among others, I'm interested in t10i and, but the budget significantly rises, shure se425 (and I should buy the cable as a spare).
What would you do if you were me? too much redundancy between dje and t10i? would shure worth the extra (significantly) cost?
Please, consider I'm using an iphone 6 only, at the moment, without any amp and/or dac.

Thanks and regards,
Marco
