Pros: ~Stunning clarity and detail.
~Impactful, clean bass that doesn't dominate the FR, but isn't lackluster either.
~Incredible separation and clarity on intense tracks.
~Treble that isn't meta or soft.
~Premium metal construction and reasonably comfortable fit.

Cons: ~Sometimes can sound a bit dry.
This is going to be a Snappy Review!*
Summary:
The KZ ZVX Pro is simple put, one of the very best single DD IEMs I've ever heard, and one I would consider an outrageous value for money. The unsung successor to the fabulous ZVX is in a whole other league. This is a true ALL-ROUNDER that is a powerhouse of dynamic and detailed sound.
Treble:
This is not the more meta treble that's becoming common [and featured in newer KZ sets like the Zenith.] It's clear and effortless, with enough extension for treble-lovers like me.
Mids/Vocals:
Clear and not muddy at all. Like the rest of the FR, the mids are clear and detailed, almost to a fault. This can lead some vocals to sound a bit dry, not unlike the even more clinical AirPods Pro 2. Vocals are well-placed, and both male and females sound clear and accurate.
Bass:
I think the bass here is about perfect. It's not rolled-off, not boomy or bleedy. It's snappy and impactful without being obnoxious. Bass from any genre sounds like it should, and never feels weak, but it's not bass-head levels either.
Soundstage:
Not utterly ethereal, but certainly spacious, and gives live music recordings a realistic feel.
Details:
FANTASTIC. Intensely layered tracks are still clear and coherent, something that can't be said for many other budget IEMs. I have mid-fi IEMs that aren't quite this good in this regard.
Comparisons:
vs. Kefine Klean.
This is the only single DD set I've tried that comes CLOSE to the ZVX Pro. [auditioned set has the hole punch mod.] ZVX Pro has better details and a more natural treble tonality, and maybe, slightly more impactful bass. Also, I think the ZVX Pro has a bit better stage.
vs. Tangzu Wan'er and HzSound White Snow.
No comparison. ZVX Pro wipes the floor with those two, however, the Wan'er in particular is smoother and sometimes that's a good thing.
vs. KZ Saga Balanced.
Saga also got a good score from me, and it was certainly more musical, but I preferred the ZVX Pro's detailed presentation.
vs. ZVX.
The original ZVX is more warmly bassy and the treble is clear but not as refined as the Pro. Still a GREAT set though.
vs. AirPods Pro 2.
Hardly a fair comparison. AirPods [in vocal booster EQ and custom spatial audio] sound stunningly detailed and refined. JUST enough bass to be fun. Due to the advanced EQ, sub-bass is clear and rumbly even when played quietly. ZVX Pro is a more traditional dynamic sound that's a bit more musical than the clinical AirPods, but I'd still say the AirPods are still the most professional-sounding single DD set I've heard.
*"Snappy Review" is a new format I'm trying. No photos, and only essential descriptions of the sound. Also, the various categories will be headed in color based on my thoughts. [Green = amazing. Amber = good, but could be better. Red = below average or simply BAD.]

Thanks especially for the comparisons vs ZVX and vs Kefine Klean. My curiosity got the better part of me, so went ahead and pulled the trigger on the ZVX Pro -can't wait to give it a go.

I got'em since I saw this review and also AndyAudioVault's review on OG ZVX. It's my first from KZ and its impresive. Not every track is blessed by them but most are. Plugged them to OnePlus 5 and sound was decent but then I tried my SoundBlaster AE-5 32/384 and now they are perfect. Now I need to try out planars from KZ cause they also got a lot of positive feedback.

I have the KZ PR3 and... it's OK. you really need a warmer cable to bring out the bass. [it's rather linear.] I'm WAY more impressed with the Kiwi Ears Aether [but again, lots more $$$ than the PR3.]

Cons: Nothing for any budget price
I bought these earphones myself 2 months ago for $23. Actual price is around $18.
The sound is overall very well balanced and nothing stands out or is missing anywhere. Profile is neutral-to-U-Shape with vocals being pushed to the stage and in balance with other instruments.
The bass goes very deep and has a nice warm timbre. Distribution between mid-bass and sub-bass is executed flawlessly with more weight on sub-bass.
The vocals are captivating and neutral/warmer. They have enough details to be realistic, without being shouty. The place, where they very softly and lengthy peaking is around 3kHz. They are placed just right inside the soundstage.
The highs are just right balanced with other frequencies and are pleasant to listen to. They are clear, without hearable lacks and have nice sparkle and well executed air. Again well placed inside the soundstage, not too forward or drowned.
The soundstage is expansive, has excellent depth and width and is not high or holographic. The placement of the instruments is exemplary and far in front of the head.
ZVX Pro can play every genre easily, from symphony, rock or metal to edm.
Compared to the previously released KZ Saga ($16), which has similar timbre, ZVX Pro is much more detailed, has a better extension and smoother highs.
The HZSound White Snow ($21) is brighter and has similar extension and qualities, but fatiguing push around 5kHz.
The KZ Zenith ($55) has slightly more captivating vocals, but sharper highs. Otherwise technicalities are quite similar. ZVX Pro is more pleasant to listen to.
