I'm a proud user of the Fluvius, and I've heard from Resonessence's Rizki that Roon development is in the works for an upcoming firmware update. Worth mentioning that MQA can be handed down to a compatible DAC as is, in the current firmware!

Hey thanks for the info! I'm not sure how many Fluvius users are out there so it's nice to hear from one. Very exciting if the device ends up being Roon ready in the future - I love Roon and adding it to the superb SQ of Fluvius makes it an amazing combo. I personally don't have an MQA DAC on hand right now but good to know Fluvius can do that as well. Thanks again!

I can't be the only one that reads "Flu Virus" before doing a double take.

I just confirmed with Ahmed Rizki (another ESS veteran who is taking over day to day operations from Mark Mallinson) that Roon is indeed coming soon. He estimated it should be live within a few weeks, but of course that could change. Still, very exciting news imho.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review, thank you. Did you compare the sound quality of the Fluvius to the SD input of the Invicta/Mirus?

Using the Mirus Pro Signature, I think the difference between Fluvius and the SD Card player is virtually zero. There were a few times where I felt the SD player had maybe a 2% improvement but it was fleeting.... not sure it matters at that point, being so difficult to discern. Basically they are functionally identical in SQ.

Btw still waiting on the update for Roon-readiness. That will make Fluvius a steal for the money imho.

Hi John, is your UAPP-Fluvius still running as normal? Android's throwing up a number of use-case issues such that I'm unable to even open mine.

Sorry, I have the Fluvious in storage right now, as I'm currently evaluating another streaming audio player. That would be a bummer though - any idea what caused it? Maybe a recent update to the app? I was told that Resonessence got Roon working but the SQ was not up to their standards, so they are waiting/hoping for the Roon folks to release a new driver that hopefully takes care of it. No time frame was given, unfortunately, because I vastly prefer Roon to anything else. Hopefully your UAPP issue can be easily fixed (maybe with the next update), otherwise you'll have to use UPnP which is also not as satisfying imho.
