Just sold my CMA Twelve Master. Was a really enjoyable all-in-one machine. Got it for a steal at $1,100 because a dealer sold it as a regular version, didn't know that myself until some time later.
Excellent review. I have been capping my used hifi purchases for decades, which has enabled me to purchase far more gear for the same amount of money. It is so easy to get caught up in the hype train of gear cycling which is often expensive and detracts from this hobby. Thanks again for the thoughtful and incisive review!
Nice writeup @hottyson.7590 !
If you havent bought one yet.. you might want to listen to its smaller brother..
I've did extensive comparison to the Twelve and 400i and they sound axactly identical with the difference the Twelve has more volume overhead, bluetooth and a remote. They share the same Amp circuit and AKM DAC chip.
But the 400i has space on the rear to put 2 RCA's for analog input.

The Soekris 2541 "AIO"...with its R2R dac and amp is $1299. Would love to see a comparison with this similar unit style.
