Interesting. Pioneer caught my attention with the SE-A1000's. I wonder if these have a similar sound signature.

Still loving the heck out if this IEM BTW. I am waiting for my upgrade android compatible cable and am still hopeful it will be as good as the original cable. These get darn near 100% of my listening time, I like them that much.

Great review dweaver! In fact so much so that I bought myself a pair. For a single dynamic driver I find them to be quite detailed, even compared to my other iems, which are mostly multi-BAs, but without the coherence and phase issues those can present. In fact, they are fighting with my W40s for listening time. I'd be curious to see what you think of them vis-a-vis the XBA-H1s. I bought some while I was waiting for the DJE1500s to arrive. I'll never listen to the Sonys as much because of their ergonomic issues (especially under a helmet) but I like them more the more I listen to them. I think its time for a shootout! What is the isolation like on these? I understand being a dynamic driver they may not have Shure levels of isolation, or other ba based iems. Also in relation to that, do these leak a lot of sound?

Sorry senorx12562 I have traded my XBA-H1 so won't be able to a shootout for you. Glad your enjoying the DJE1500, I was starting to wonder if anyone but me was going to like them .
 
Tr1ppy, I find the isolation on these be at least average for an IEM and do not think they have any leakage issues. They are not as isolating as Shure or Etymotic though.
 
I have been reviewing and sampling some other gear as of late but the DJE1500 is still my best IEM sonically speaking.

I want to buy a new IEM, I'm from Mexico and IEMs options is limited so after reading something that I think that I will buy a Dje-1500 or Sennheiser Momentum in ear, which you recommend? thanks for this great review.

@dweaver Thank you very much for the awesome review. Have you tried the Westone UM Pro 10? if you do, which one do you recommend, the Westone or the Pioneer?

sorry for the tardiness guys. I am not sure which would be better between the DJE1500 and the MIE. Price wise the MIE wins but I am not sure sound wise. as for the UM Pro 10 since it is a single BA I would assume the DJE1500 will have a larger range and dynamics but the UM Pro 10 will likely have better control and will likely have more detail at it's sweet spot in the audio spectrum.
