A huge +1! The X2 Fidelio cans are truly impressive. I auditioned them against Sennheiser 600 and 650 and I was astonished at the X2's more full bass/sub-bass by comparison.
 
My go-to rig is:
 
late-2013 MacBook Pro>Amarra>Geek Out 1000>Headphones Lounge LITZ silver cable (5')>X2 Fidelio. 
 
I use my PONO player for mobile listening. 
 
The X2 sound is sweet and seductive. They are crazy comfortable. The have great detail and separation. The net result of using them is that I get lost in the music. And, for me, that's the raison d'être for using any sound gear.
 
All that said, I don't want to hijack the thread, but I'd appreciate any recommendations for a desktop dac and amp (combo or separates, same brand or not) that would bring out even more from my X2. Any thoughts?

I hear the e10k dac + shiit vali combo is apparently very good with these. Although I'm not sure I would like the 'noise' the Vali makes.
Magni2/Modi2 (uber) is good, M1/M1 not so much according to some users.
 
If I would have more to spend I would look into the higher tier stuff like Burson or Lyr 2. But not sure. Would have to do some research. For now I'm actually very very happy with the performance of my Fiio E17. It really does great.
