@JasonLucas I feel bad for you.

@JasonLucas Lucky you got it with amazon then, I would definitely return it ASAP.

@JasonLucas You might have noticed that the ones that are praising it to the moon all got it for free. Just a bunch of shills. The poison of this hobby.

@JasonLucas is that so? I didn't notice any changes even after 20+ hours. And certainly not enough to make it worth the cost.

@JasonLucas I see, well I would return it because I think it is unacceptable that something at this price can sound so bad OOTB....
Here are some examples on what you can get instead:
LZ A6
Fiio FH3
Tanchjim Oxygen
Final Audio E5000
Audiosense T800

@JasonLucas the E5000 is even warmer but the bass being so loose does make it less versatile. My recommendation is to get the FH3 or if you are into acoustic music then the oxygen will be the best you can get under 500 usd.

@JasonLucas Have you tried using EQ on the P1? Turns it into a beast.
Here is my preset for it:
low-shelf: 80hz, Q: 0.64, gain:2db
low-shelf: 150hz, Q: 1.1, gain: 4.5db
preamp: -7db

Just chiming in to say that the Be are pretty finicky with fit. I bought the Be and initially found them harsh and tonally 'off' too. The odd thing was that every now and then I seemed to get the fit just so, and then they sounded great.
Eventually, I found wearing them with the cable up and over my ear allowed them to sit in my ear at its natural angle. Tip wise, I found the Spiral Dot to work well, and much prefer them to the stock single flanges.
For reference, I own the BLON BL03, TRI i3, and Sony XBA-Z5, amongst others, and have auditioned the Final E5000 and Tanchjim Oxygen at reasonable length. The Be definitely outperform the BLON, Final E5000, and Tanchjim Oxygen, and compare favourably to the TRI i3.
When fitted right, the Be's timbre is amongst the best I've heard: very rich, organic, and vibrant, with an analog quality rather reminiscent of the Sony EX1000 I previously owned, albeit fuller-sounding and more natural in the treble region.

I never trusted your reviews and this review verified just that.

@JasonLucas thanks, too many shills in this hobby. Hope no one else gets ripped off anymore on this garbage.
