Is it heavy enough to put a lot of pressure on the USB port of a phone? That lightning to 4.4mm seems interesting, since there are few options like that for iphone.
o0genesis0o,
Well it is 25 grams in total, I don't know what 3.5mm weights, as I only have 4.4mm balanced. But the thing is the cable is super flexible and is almost like not being attached when hooked-up to a phone. I don't think the pressure is an issue but you would fasten it to a phone with straps, unless you want to look like a gorilla with the thing swinging everywhere. So yes, there is a pendulum effect, that's why I don't do it. But I should have done measurements into how power efficient it is, as it never gets hot and runs off the little HiBy R3 II battery a long part of the day. It is not low power, but medium power, and I like it..........just right with IEMs, as you know you don't need those warm style of unit replays just to drive IEMs, that's the love affair here?
@o0genesis0o,
Really I think it may fit the signature style you're after, I mean I don't foresee anyone being disappointed after ordering one? Great sounding and interesting, for the price of lunch out for two? Cheers! The one thing you will never call it dark or boring. It is just smoothly correct and offering up great detail, not the most full on dark lower midrange, but more of a correct audiophile tone, really a little different than the thickness of the Rock and Roll M response of the R3 II..........but of course it doesn't have that kind of power either for full-size headphones.
