Pinpoint review . I am surprised no one before has mentioned the lack of resolution and the muffled treble before. For the price I find it pretty hard to swallow

@CT007 it was my pleasure to help you out

@Codename john somehow, I did not find the less energetic treble bad. It was perfect for late night listening when you need a calm sound to engulf you. Notes were a bit smooth, so yes, the resolution may take a slight hit, but the tonality was so good it did not matter much to me.

I agree to a point. There are times when they are pleasant. Also the tuning makes for a very unique sounding iem. They remind me of the final audio E5000. If they were a bit cheaper , it would be like a cool niche product. But in comparison to the Fiio FD5 , I don't see the value. At the same time its all a matter of opinion plus they look amazing

In comparison to FD5, they are quite far behind. FD5 is an amazing piece of work, but it is about $60 costlier too. Although, the difference in sound may be greater than the price difference.

@Ace Bee, happens to love H40 sound characteristics and I like it more than the ORBS....
Do you find FD5 an iem worth to go for??
Is it any close to H40 in terms of air/space/Soundstage??
I like H40 being a full bodied iem with BIG sound, and I am curious.. is FD5 worth to get as well??

@Codename john, have you purchased Dunu EST 112????
Curius about that as well....
For the time being I AM puzzled between getting either FD5 or DUNU EST112....
Getting recently DUNU DK2001 was a most pleasant experience.......

@alexandros a I heard the H40, grill removed condition, and even then I could not bring myself to love it because of the boomy bass. Yes, it has great prowess in imaging, a good 3 dientional projection that has very good highs, but the Bass was too much for my taste.
FD5, on the other hand, is an incredible iem. The bass has very good heft, but does not sound boomy or all over the place the way it sounded in H40. Soundstage and separation is very good, imaging may be slightly better on H40 due to mutiple BAs. But Stage, Air, Separation I liked on FD5. Details also better on FD5.

EST112 is a very intriguing iem as well, but if you already have DK2001, no point getting FD5, EST112 as those will be very close upgrades. I'd suggest sell the DK2001 or get either FD5 or EST112, not both.
