Last november i had the opportunity to test camelot for a week. I liked them a lot and therefore wanted to order (could directly compare to 64's 12t, which would have been money thrown out of the window in almost each category - to make it short). Due to the big shelf in custom. My local dealer came back to me after a day or two telling nostalgia won't do a custom for me, as they are not experienced enough for my left ear channel which is veryveryvery thin. While being pretty sad about that news i highly appreciated the honesty of nostalgias technicians. Seems they rather are willing to miss a sell as selling b.s. which is at least to me a good hint for the seriosity of their brand.
I hope i can join nostalgia somewhen they offer another highflyer but with smaller shelf.
@rootsd - that’s a shame they can’t do a custom for you, but agreed that it’s great to see that honesty. It will be interesting to see where they go next, the new limited edition ‘Tesseract’ looks like a smaller shell versus Camelot but hard to tell from pictures. I’d love Camelot in a custom, debating either that or Fibae 5 as my very first! Cheers.
Not their fault. I am sure with more experience they will be able. If you wanna blame someone blame my ancestors giving me ear-physiology-dna that is not perfect for nowadays iems tipps for universals is a hard topic on its own depending on specific transducers...
You always have great music recommendations in your reviews! I didn't know that Global Communication became GCOM until reading your Melodic Artification Eclipse review. E2-XO is one heck of an album!
