I wonder if you tried any foam tips? To me they are absolutely essential to taming that bit of upper frequency bite that can occur on certain tracks. A found every single silicon tip that I tried to actually accentuate that bite. Wonder if that was part of your issue? Also a good copper cable is a great compliment to the KK's signature. With my Cardas Clear I don't hear the mids as recessed at all and I get more mid-bass fullness. And I agree about the unique treble. It's very special, the star of the show, as is that BCD rumble/tickle, as well as the overall sense of depth, which you didn't mention. To me these have some of the best note movement toward the ear I have ever heard. Thanks for the great review!

@fejnomit thanks for the comment!
Yes I’ve tried several foam tips but I generally never get a comfortable feeling with them unfortunately (too hot for my ear canals), so was not able to enjoy those combinations unfortunately.
As for BCD I do mention those added depth transients 🙂

Tnx Alexzander... I think the 2nd sentence in Cable Synergy sneaked in from another paragraph?

My favourite tips are the ones that came with my U18t (based on Spinfit 145 but ever so slightly different size and from how it feels also material). For me they were the only ones that were able to attenuate treble to the exact correct amount while gaining a bit warmth in mids at the same time. They also attenuate sub bass a little but for me that was a pro instead of a can as I think they can handle it. The slight cut in sub bass adds to fuller mids too, I think. Tnx again...
