Excellent review---and I concur. I burned in mine for about 150 hours. The only "issue" for me is the treble but I am hyper sensitive. I put a tiny piece of sound barrier foam--just inside the ear tip opening and it seems to work a bit. I also tried medical tape over the nozzle ==but that really knocked down the high end. I think most people would not think they were too bright.

Also---these universals are one of the few that I can wear---very comfortable. I did change the ear tips and went back to the ear tips that came with the unit.
LOVE the bass and midrange--treble is just a bit hot for. YMMV

if the treble is too much for you use them with foam tips, they are not for treble sensitive people, it will be too aggressive for them

Glad to see your review. My impressions of these are pretty much on par with everything you said. I still haven't burned them in sufficiently, but treble is tamed already. The fit is what's killing these for me. I can't get a good, consistent seal even though I tried at least 12 different tips... Also, seems ported in back and front on mine. I imagine it's necessary for the planar driver.

Still wondering if I'll keep these or resell.

try with longer tips, like those from Sony mh1c, also triple flange work great for me but they are uncomfortable
