Hi @Currawong, how was the pairing of the Ether with the Hugo? I am interested in the pairing as I am looking for a headphone along the lines of the Ether, LCD-3, and such.

Hi @Jeff Y. Those photos were taken when I went to MrSpeakers back in March. The Hugo sounds a bit thin with them for preference. I'm using them with the Studio Six with a set of warm tubes at present. 

I was afraid so @Currawong, so I guess something like the LCD-3 would fare better with the Hugo. HD800 with the Hugo was not one of my pairings either so it must be a similar case.
I am though, considering getting the Liquid Carbon or some desktop amp to pair with the Hugo. Would that help the pairing?

The Liquid Carbon chooses a lively presentation over detail extraction IMO. It is VERY fun to listen with the combo.
