$1599.99?  That's what you paid for Ether C's including the upgrade to C Flow?

Satir, no that was the original Ether C price. The upgrade, which included new drivers, was an additional $ 350.00.

The sound is well above the cost of the $ 350. as an upgrade. See review.

The diagonal weave on the cups stays the same, Mr. Speakers does include and invoice and a statement, so at resale, you can prove to the buyer that these are indeed the "Flow" in non-flow clothing.

At RMAF I heard these through Ampsandsounds Agartha amp and was very impressed! I had decided that I would be happy with my Primes and
Ethers, but the Flows are a new ballgame... My checkbook is crying.

Tyll, from the much respected Innerfidelity web-site has just placed them on his WOF. 12-16-16. Unfortunately, he does so with a qualifier that both confuses and upsets me a little, as I don't find it accurate to my listening experience at all.

He mentions a bothersome peak at 6k Hz, which I cannot hear. Perhaps its from his charts, perhaps his treble hearing is more acute, I do know from his many fine reviews that he is more treble sensitive than myself.

All I can say with certainty, is that I am enjoying the Ether C Flow FAR more than the original Ether C. As noted in my review above, I hear it as fuller and richer throughout the spectrum.
Comparing to my Electrostats, the STAX 007 Omega II's, they seem a bit thick and slow, but otherwise they sound excellent and far more fun, deeper in the bass extension than the original Ether C, which was bass light and overall less detailed and fun.

IMHO, the Ether C did not sound like a $ 1500 headphone and was seriously thinking of returning or reselling them, when the Flow upgrade came along and I tried it. I was surprised at just how much the SQ changed for the better (at least for this listener). Now, these are my favorite sealed headphone, which I enjoy both at home and on the road. YMMV.
