Funny thing is that the majority of IEMs aren't that tip-picky, but when you come across a tip sensitive IEM, you have a lot of flexibility to alter the sound performance. Very interesting, but it does require you to own a bunch of tips. The negative side of this is that the stock tips might not give the IEM its optimal performance and someone who doesn't own 3rd party tips will judge and form his opinion based on the performance with the stock tips... In other words, wasted potential.
This being said, thank you for pointing out that tips do make a difference here.
