Nice review, yet again it's the old $>£ though as $199 magically becomes £158 (lowest I've seen is £153).

I've always wondered how people got deluded into thinking expensie cables magically improved the sound. Excellent review Brooko, your clarity and description show why you are a top reviewer.
I wish these had more sub bass, but nothing's perfect.

Thanks Brooko. I don't post comments but after reading your detailed review with comparisons within the same range it helped remind me how proud I am to be an owner of the P1's. Keep up the awesome reviews (this includes other reviewers), it's what helps me narrow-down my purchasing decisions when I am not able to physically test them myself.

My pics came out with a more bronzed/brass-ish color on the shells, but I think that has to do with more a difference in lighting as yours were in a lightbox whereas mine weren't. Great review as always, indeed the IEMs are very good.

Thanks gents - I really do appreciate all fo the feedback.
@niron - if you can send me a PM with your personal tastes I can probably give you a better answer. Or are you simply looking for an IEM with a similar signature?
@Jayzz - for the price, the Delta V2 does everything right IMO. Where the P1 wins is with slightly better overall build quality, and better ergonomics.
@avitron142 - Avi - thanks. I'll respond to your PM as soon as I get a chance.
@Cinder - if I get time in the weekend, I'll pull both out and do a direct comparison and add it.

Thanks for review!
PS There is the same diagram picture for comparing P1 vs.Titan 5 and P1 vs. 2000J .

Awesome review! Really fantastic comparisons too, it's good to see the comparative measurements.

Wow, fantastic review! Thanks.

@and132 - thanks, I enjoy writing them. Unfortunately I don't have the Savant to compare for you - but I remember when I reviewed the Savant that I thought it was one of the best IEMs I'd heard. If it wasn't for the fact that I already have the U6, Curve and q-Jays (and I really like all 3), along with many others, the Savant is one I would probably purchase. I'd suggest if you love a mildly forward mid-range and linear bass - then it would indeed be an upgrade.

Really great review, Brooko! Lots of useful stuff here. Thank you!

@Brooko, I have the opportunity to take a Pinnacle P1, but to do it, I have to sell my Westone W4R. I bought the Dunu Dn2000 a week ago and love it! But now, after reading many reviews recommending the P1, I just want to try it. Do you think that it worth? Remember that I have to sell my Westone W4R for it. I like the Westone and its laid back sound,Fit, isolation, but the sound is not incredible in bass, mids or high. The sound is just, "ok", toughs is a very balanced and correct sound, but nothing draws my attention. Comparing with my Dunu, the Westone, for me wins only in Fit and isolation. The transparency, decay, bass, mids and high are better on Dunu.
I think that the Westone even with 4 BA's, its not good as Dunu DN2000. I know, the Westone is a classic IEM that made sucess years ago, but I think that IEM's had a huge evolution in the last years, So, I think that some new IEM's ($200-$300) are better than some "antique" IEM's of 3-4 years ago. What do you think?

Fred - I'll PM you a graph so you can see the two compared. DN2000 is actually pretty well balanced - very slight dip in the lower mids, and more emphasis on sub-bass than mid-bass. The P1 is quite different - a lot more V shaped, with more bass emphasis, and a much more vivid upper mid-range. The P1 does need decent amplification as well. I haven't heard the W4R - so can't really comment on that.
If you wnat more of a contrast - then the P1 is a great IEM. But if you are a fan of a flatter signature, you might like to look at something from Campfire, or 64Audio perhaps (unfortunately both are heading up as far as cost goes though).

Personally I use the low gain and simply turn the volume up. Using high gain will give you more power - but they don't really need or benefit from it. All it will end up doing is lowering your available battery life slightly.
