What i will say about the Luxury & Precision DAPs is that they are so well built that (whilst SQ is the best playing onboard music) they easily get around any issues with not having streaming built in is to use the USB DAC functionality in the DAPs. Very easy to use and very good. That’s why i sometimes use them as USB DAC from iDevices and then line out into my desk top amplifiers.
The great thing about the LP DAP as USB DACs and LO is that you will notice how quiet they are. Especially for the LP6, it is very much a desktop that LP miniaturised into a DAP form factor. But performs like a desktop/transportable.
Great and thorough review. While I'm not at all impressed by what this player has to offer, the level of detail you went into about the various technologies, and even the origin story of the creator, was worth the price of admission.
Great review. Reads like this could have been one of the best DAP’s in the world if only the software and volume were more sorted. Kind of makes me think prototype or beta model not yet finished which is crazy at the asking price
@Chimmy9278 you can reach out to Andrew from @MusicTeck and see if he has a demo unit. He is in NJ so you may even be able to drive to his place to do an audition.
Will LP7 differ from LP6 for multimedia improvements (inclusion of Spotify, Tidal, Google etc ....) Or for a general and total overhaul compared to LP6?
