... I wonder, do the wooden face plates change the sound like wooden housing changes sound in head phones? Oh well it's 12am so time for bed, can't b browsing head fi after 12am anymore... to mny spurge purchases [oh gawd another 2 mins here and I might end up with
CiEM s lol]
The wooden faceplates should not change the sound, as the shell would still be made of the acrylic-material, and only the faceplates would be made of wood.
I wonder how these compare to the latest JH13 / JH16 line up? Has Lear, or any other company figured out a way to bring all those drivers in phase to a degree that would allow for competition with JH Audio?
CiEM's are in my portable rigs future, Thanks fro the review, 900 bones is a good chunk to drop on any single piece of portable gear, would be nice to audition something in the family of products. Like Grado, could you characterize the LCM-5 as having a Lear signature sound ?
My current IEM's are Sleek SA6's, which after a lot of use I really like the sound, they were a bit stiff and restricted when new, much more musical after breakin.
