If i recalled it right, some of KZ bigwigs are string players.
Possibly its the reason that some perceived that old AS16 heavily favored to string instrument at cost of other genre.
possibly that favoring have effect in AS24 tuning as well.

Thanks, the only other KZ I’ve heard (not listed in the above review) is the PR1 HiFi, sorry.

Someone asked to compare against the AST, which I am listening to at the moment, having switched from the AS24 earlier. AST has much more bass, much less midrange and treble, while somehow retaining all the details. AS24 sounds like it has more detail due to tuning, but not really. The only negative about the AST is that its bass may be boomy/too impactful, which I "took care of" with a 75ohm impedance adapter; it's just right now. AS24 sounds rich, but it was too lean with all the switches off and I had to boost the bass before I began to like the sound. Mind you, none of this is A-B testing, it's after long listening sessions over the past few days. AST, with the impedance adapter, though now limited to 3.5mm, is the keeper. It's also the only IEM I have I can use without EQ and not get fatigued by the mids/highs.

That was an epic review. Your review and Akros review has me very interested in the AS24. KZ/CCA has some impressive sets as of late. I really love the CCA HM20, and I’d be interested to hear what KZ can achieve with an all BA set. Seems many agree the value and performance level is pretty high with this set.

The AS16PRO.....another all BA from KZ......while less technicalities, does maybe more genres. But if you are into symphonies, then the AS24 is a bargain, IMO? Really having both is also a great way to go, where you have more genres covered, maybe? But the AS24 got 4 stars due to being more specific, in my eyes.

Of course you can try the AS24 with switches, it may be a different animal, though I never heard it?

I'm very happy with my AS16 Pro High Imp.
If the AS24 would have two 22955 BA's, as the AS16 Pro, I would buy.
I find it somewhat strange, more drivers but only one 22955 BA.
