Of course, and after all that I switched the cables and put the Elixir cable on the Allure and the Allure cable on the Elixir...identical cables, though the cover material is different. The two units have identical drivers in them with only case colors different.......and box accessories slightly different. Cheers!
Basically the same headphone for less than 1/2 price!
The very first paragraph explains that the Elixir and Allure are the same IEM.
“Much of the script here is a subtle reworking of the original THIEAUDIO Elixir review I posted a few months back. As it should be, because rarely do you get the chance to review the exact same IEM twice. But if a (slightly different company) releases the exact same IEM, only in a different color, and with the exact same cable, only with a different covering.......well.....you see where this is going. Though the good news is the KiiBOOM Allure is less than half the price of the Elixir! You don't get the small Elixir carrying case, but you do get a plush big carrying case. Other than missing a few extra ear-tips, the KiiBOOM Allure package is identical.”
I am looking for the Elixir atm and I heard the rumors that the Allure is identical. I would like to believe you but am pretty sure they are not.
Or at least, there is something different about them.
I put some research into this. I looked for their sound signature. While they are similar, every measurement I found about the Allure had a peak at 2k, following by a dip at 3k, following by a peak at 4,5k. The Elixir is a straight line here.
Elixir also has more subbass and less mid bass on average.
Now you might say this is coincidence, but other measurements tend to confirm this pattern.
They are obviously similar though and it might very well be that they are related somehow.
