Excellent review project86! Kao clearly shows specs aren't the last word. Unfortunately most do stare themselves blind with specs. Important is the design and implementation and I think the interview allowed Kao to express his thoughts.

Thanks for writing this review. I want one of these even though I thought I was going to spend more on a DAC/Amp combo. Will be interesting to see how it compares to upcoming Anedio D2, even though there's a $500 price difference.

Did Kao say anything about up upcoming models? Sounds like they have the engineering chops to release some stunning flagship products if they chose to.
