Strange as I like it even more now than when I reviewed it. The Renata cable and CS02 breathe new life into the Neo 5. The Neo 5 beats out the TSMR-X to me, and sits up there with the Volt and 10th Anniversary IEM as most fun. Though I tried it in the review with a few cables, when I did the review the Neo 5 came with the ISN S8, now it has been updated to include the ISN S4........another great cable. Still the realism from the ISN CS02 is incredible, then up a couple more clicks with the Renata cable.

The Neo 5 is unique in its tuning, and amazing with singer songwriter stuff. It adds a warmth which fills out acoustic guitars, then adds harmonics to vocals and has somehow found a pushed out front vocal placement? No IEM I own does exactly these style of maneuvers? And somehow being slightly dark you would’nt think the CS02 or Rentata wouldn’t work, but they add density and realism, that and push the 3D and open the Neo 5 up. IMHO.

Nice work my friend, excellent first review. Neo 5 is a fun and good set, your descriptions are spot on.

One of my favorites from Penon/ISN 😁

@o0genesis0o,
I know, love is weird at times, like I want to climb onto my roof and tell the world...........all these ideas are post my review so I had to tell someone at some point. I’ll settle down. :) It’s just the Neo 5 kept being thrust into rotation and new comparisons........the rest is (as they say) history.

Lovely review boss! Gives someone like me, who hasn't heard it, a clear idea about its capabilities across the spectrum.

Waiting for Szalayi 's review!
