Thanks for this. I have a Serial and just received an S2 but one of the 2 pin plugs was twisted 180 and more importantly, the pins were too tight for the Serial!I got a few minutes of sound and it felt a little too linear for me. I'm sending it back to Penon and I'll ask for an H2 replacement instead.

Yes, but both maybe will work for you. This stuff is all insanely subjective. I mean there is some objectivity to it all, but I was surprised how the S2 worked with the Serial. Also it takes a while to really know......not only a moment. But at the same time the cable comparisons in this test were not fully long enough.........meaning changes come about even after 2 hours of use.........as you adapt to the sound signature and the previous sound signature passes from memory. But H2 will probably be grand! Really it's surprising how the SC819 was better with the Serial than the Vortex, yet it can be passed up by these new blue cables!
