Truly great review! I believe people are missing the boat on this IEM. I’ve never done but I bought them sight unseen right from the owner of Audio46’s hands. It was just out. He recommended, I bit, and I listen to them nightly. I connect to my Chord, turn up and get chills from the amazing sound.

I think people is missing the whole InEar lineup. SD5 is also a really good IEM under 1k USD not much talked around here.

EDIT: could you please let me know which double flange tips are those? I would like to try with my SD5

Those double flanges are from Brainwavz S IEMs. also found on some of RHA IEMs. Hard to find them, but work best with the InEar

Yes. It's the most standard cable you get on IEMs.
I had the old KZ cables, and they were fine for those cheap earphones. This is a bit better, agree that's not something you'd expect on a high priced product. and you can get pretty good cables for less than $100

Perhaps a stupid question but is the size of small version larger than andromeda?

I only had the standard size, which is quite larger than the Andromeda or other CA.
