Nice review and dope looking IEM.

I am wondering how to get a good seal with such a short nozzle? Is a deep insertion even possible?

@F700 I've tried the SD-2 which appears to have the same fit and nozzle. Seal is great due to the custom-like fit and I was able to get a nice flush fit - despite the short and seemingly not so thin nozzle. And yes, deep insertion is certainly possible. Interestingly, the SD series actually measure -35 db in terms of isolation which is basically Ety level (https://www.innerfidelity.com/images/InEarStageDriver3.pdf)

@F700 I did have the PP8 with the same nozzles and they fit perfectly!

@HansBarbarossa what about those already having the PP8? Is the PMX an upgrade (technically) or just a sidegrade (soundwise)?

It sounds a little different, as described in my review. For me personally, PMX is a good addition to PP8, which I also love for its naturalistic, academic-studio sound. PMX gives more emotions and life to the sound, which allows you to get more emotions, with a general, comfortable and balanced manner of sound. Here, everyone must decide for himself what he likes best.

hi, thanks for the great review :)
how is the PMX compared to the SD5?
bit off topic, but how does Lotoo S1 sound?

The SD-5 has a little more colored and more emotional sound, with a greater boost in the midbass area and a more emotional mid / high - high frequency range, than a more sophisticated, powerful, but still neutral PMX.
PAW S1 + PMX is a warm / neutral sound in this pair. not very bad in terms of compromise, but PMX can be much better. Like a good device, in the wings, the S1 is good. And this couple in any case will not disappoint you.
