As easy as the LCD-X is to drive, I think it would work fine in that respect, and make a good compact option for on-the-go use. I do think other combinations will probably wring out more detail but most are considerably larger, heavier, and more costly. (not to mention most need to be plugged in).

Just got my Ikko Zerda Lightning for my iPhone 6S and thus far it is what I've been looking for - nice to ditch the Apple adapter, and I'm definitely enjoying the sound quality in my short testing. We'll see how impressions hold up in long term use.
Would you recommend the IKKO Zerda with LCD-Xs ?
