Great review ... as I am recently impressed by the versatility of the little Go Blu with the IE 900, it makes me wonder if I shouldn't try such a portable way (Gryphon) with some of my more juice demanding IEMs (like Vision Ears EXT or even IER-Z1R).
Actually, I am on more fixed on the FIIO M17 with 2x3W as I still expect to travel with some closed headphones, but, your story with this rather powerful BT DAC AMP with my smartphone, could be a way to go too, assuming there is a 15 to 20 hours battery life ?.
man, I like that IFI put some high quality interconnects with this kit. Most manufacturers don't even give you decent ones to begin with, for the price. And the more and more, I see reviews of the Gryphon, I become more and more intrigued and wanna pull the trigger.
iFi’s xDSD Gryphon (or just Gryphon if you’ll allow me)...
in a review of that length and detail; “sure, why not”?
Kudos (respect given)
examples of where this is becomes a ‘review’ and not just a product release (ad) is stuff like:

“Starting with the most visible of these, the volume dial, not so much a dial as a multi-function knob, acts as an on/off power switch, menu selector (when inside the settings menu), and most importantly as an analogue volume control. Did I mention it can also be used to mute the volume (single press) and, with the latest firmware, gives you full pause/forward/reverse track control when connected with Bluetooth?”
