French to English translationI just got my D12 Ibasso, I find his superb DAC, in amp is a lot less impressive with my Cowon D2 which is already perfect, hence my decision to change the opamps gray and red So I ' I ordered the kit sold at D10/D12 Ibasso AD8397 and 2 sold at Heaphonia. I put AD 8656 and AD4841 in place of the AD8397 and gray instead of 2 red, the sound is much better than the original opamps. One can read on the forums that AD8397 is superb, that's why I ordered 2. I tried LME4971 which is in the kit of the D12 but it's worse than AD8397. I wanted to go further, AD8397 and AD8656 in place of the AD8397 and gray instead of 2 red or 2 AD8397 hoping the sound would be even nicer but I do not really see the difference, the battery supports Ibasso AD8397 It will probably charge it more often, but it does not matter, only thing that counts, others are opamps it seems fine:
AD8066, AD 5599, but they are not recommended because the battery of the D12 is not powerful enough for them. Here I'll probably still be testing while keeping AD8397, for cons I do not know if 2 AD8397 give more breadth to the sound of the D12, can someone can tell me if it's a bad combination and if a alone would suffice, it is true that with AD8656 and AD4841 instead of gray procured very clean sound with good bass. I use the headphones are Shure E500, Koss Porta Pro, Creative Aurvana and the famous Sennheiser HD650, they are all different and I love all four, I prefer to drive HD650 Little Dot MK3 I just bought, the sound is magnificent with D12 in CAR and FLAC files is in my view a very beautiful association.Les serious are clean and punchy, the mids and highs silky crystalline. I'm very impressed, I will receive new tubes (EF92), yet it seems they are improving Little Dot MK3, then it will be nirvana for sure. If people wish to leave their impressions of D12 and changing opamps would be very nice.
