After amping, I do think the Heart Mirror is the better set in terms of timbre of acoustic instruments and in technicalities and transients, but the KS1 is in a cheaper price bracket, so perhaps not a fair one to one comparison as such.
Hi @baskingshark , many thanks for the quick reply and your description and suggestions too. :beerchug:
Fortunately I have 2 DAP + DAC/AMP combos

1. Fiio M6 + Fiio Q1 MK II combo (small, light weight and semi-professional)
2. Fiio X7 MK II + Fiio Q5 combo (big, heavy weight and professional)

So theoretically I can drive every kind of IEMs or headphones ...

Great review as always! Recently I find myself wanting more bass light / more neutral IEMs, I've always liked the IEMs with plenty of bass (like the blon 03) but nowadays I don't know why but I'm changing my tastes. I've bought a pair of moondrop starfield which I haven't burned in yet but the bass is still a bit too much, I want more neutralish sound. Will this suited me better for what I'm searching? Will the fiio btr5 (balanced with 2.5 mm cable 0.78 pin which I already got) be enough to power them properly? These days I find the perfect bass (for my taste) on the Sundara (with the topping L30) which is not a lot but really good, with good extension and quality bass, over quantity. Sorry for my english, hope to have explained myself well
edit
I love the bass on the KBear believe too (when amped with the L30, not much with the btr5 or any other source) and as a sound signature in general

Hi @Lamby90 the HZSound Heart Mirror has a linear bass, so it is rather neutral in the bass, I think you will like the bass amounts here. I think the BTR5 should be able to drive it.

Bas, do you have any plan to get Moondrop Aria.. If you will or you did, I'd like to know your opinion between this two.. I have them as my top two on my shortlist.

Hi @dw1narso I haven't heard the Aria, but ya maybe I'll try to see if I can go down to a local shop one of these days to audition it.

If u have tried the 2 IEMs too, I would be keen to hear your impressions!

Hello @dw1narso, i have both the heart mirror and moondrop aria,

they both have different sound signatures, the heart mirror have a "neutral-bright" while the aria is harman's curve as far as i know. the 2 has their streghts and weakness, the aria go towards more "general sound" due to that harman curve sound, and the heart mirror is leaning more to the analytical type due to its bright nature.

since my sound preference is towards the analytical type, so ofcourse i would be into the sound of the heart mirror, the aria is abit too bassy and have abit none resolving highs for my preferences.

Thanks @DGJM ... 👍

in fact when I check the FR plot on Banbeu.com... I just realized that it seemed that except the bass, Heart Mirror is very close to Blon-05s, they might used the same driver but with different housing/cavity that affect the bass response... So I might consider these two instead of Aria then...

Sorry I don't have the Tin T4 with me anymore, so can't do A/B testing, maybe we can ask the rest who have both.

hi There , this set is still abit hot for me , not for a relaxing long listening . can this be tamed or maybe better low to mids by copper cables , have you tried it ? or can you audition your copper cables vs stock ? really wanted to know this . is it changes the tonallity for a lil bit dark/warm by using pure copper . i would invest on it . thank you

Hi @Fahmi Misbah Bangsar , you get more mileage changing the sound signature with sources, eartips and volume played at than cables. The Heart Mirror pairs best with narrower bore ear tips such as Final E black tips (which I use), it pairs best with warmer sources and at lower volumes (Fletcher Munson curve).

I do use a copper 8 core cable with it from NiceHCK, it is about $9 USD, cables changing sound signature is extremely controversial in the audio world.

What source are u using with your Heart Mirror? It needs to be amped, with lower powered sources it sounds very sharp in the upper mids/treble

Hi , Im using both ESS dongle dac , Zorloo Ztella standard *ES 9270C 64mW @32 Ohm and
E1DA 9038S *ES 9038Q2M/AD8397
>340mW @32 Ohm Balanced*.

or a cheapo desktop Dac X6 by FX audio.

changing tips might be the answer as im in a tight budget . on mobile phone i can only eq with UAP but . but the app with tidal sometimes buggy .

Hi , Can you rec. any warm sounding dongle to pair with my HZ (lil warmer than my E1DA or Ztella ) that is priced less than 80usd? balanced is a bonus .

Hi @Fahmi Misbah Bangsar I use the Heart Mirror with this ESS ES9280C PRO. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000898095947.html

I think it can be around $27 USD during sales. it is a warm musical DAC/AMP, can power up to 600 ohm gear, it gets very loud (warning!). It isn't as detailed as something like the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro, but it has good synergy with the more detailed/analytic Heart Mirror.
