60 Ohms is a LOT and I could imagine your attentuated treble being caused by using an amp (stage) that has a higher output impedance. Anything over, say, 1 Ohm would seriously influence the sound and this could result in an early roll-off in both sub bass and treble.
The 2 pin connector they use is 0.78 mm and there's quite some brands that have this connection as an option. Just in case you want to upgrade...
@cn11 - very different as Eclipse has quite a bass emphasis in comparison - I tend to choose Eclipse for more slower paced music lately, less of an all rounder vs Svanar. Eclipse actually reminds me a bit of Trifecta in that regard.
Update - I’ve reduced this rating to 4.5 as I think the poor selection of accessories and lack of a balanced cable / poor quality stock cable needs to be reflected, especially at this price point.
I also purchased the HiFiMAN svanar. The sound is great, but I am disappointed with the cable connectors. The standard 2-pin IEM connector does not stick.
HiFiMAN seems to understand this and responded that the RE2000 cable would stick.
