Coincidentally, I found R70x to have an amazing pair up with SuperMini I wish I could say the same with many of my premium IEMs/CIEMs, but unfortunately the hissing with Zeus-R, Andromeda, and ES60 was unbearable to the point where I couldn't even evaluate the sound. It was also rather strong with U12, though not as apparent. Interestingly, right out of the box, the sound was more digital and sterile, but after about 50hrs of burn in (and after I switched to sandisk uSD vs some other cheap budget uSD) - I'm finally hearing that smooth tonality. With balanced IEM, the included one (which btw is very close in sound signature to RE600), you hear a very nice black background with a fast transient of notes, and RE600 pair up is excellent!!! GUI is primitive, which could be polarizing, or perhaps what makes it unique. Battery life is amazing... Btw, did you discover adding to Fav only available in ALL Song list where you press, hold, and release Play button? Not very intuitive, the same with holding and pressing Play during playback for a pop up of Repeat and Shuffle menu... Other shortfalls are no EQ, no gapless, no usb DAC, no gain switching, painful scrolling by clicking if you have lots of files to go through... I'm still debating if I should write a full review or not; I didn't even know this is going to be a 10 day tour, so I probably going to send it back as is. But nevertheless, this is one interesting DAP, probably great for those who have demanding full size power hungry headphones and want a portable source.
@twister6 yea the favorite makes little sense. You can scroll faster by holding down the up and down buttons! Definitely has some weaknesses, and I'm hoping firmware will fix most of these issues.
