Nice review, I'm interested in how you would compare the 272's to the 600's. I have the 272's and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get the 600.

Hey pauldgroot, I wish I could tell you how the two sound next to one another but I've never actually heard the RE-272 so I couldn't tell you how it compares. From what I've heard, the RE-272 has an airier and more treble-focused sound, whereas the RE-600 is more mid-centric and smooth.

Here comes the doubts again ! Zelda's review proved that the RE 600 really worth the extra $300 compare to my RE 400, I think I gonna give it an audition to be fixed

Since every HIFIMAN iems has a specific character without straying too far from their house sound and certain durability issues (with very few and notable exceptions, RE 262 I'm looking at you!!!) I guess the songbird takes it to a different level but all things considered it is neither 4 times better than the RE-400 nor it tops their price category competitors and probably will face violent competition from less pricier alternatives such as the TOTL offerings from DUNU and similar brands like TPEOS. At this price point you spect some goodies such as removable cables, competent storage for the iems and stellar build quality to go hand in hand with the refinement of sound and while the RE600 ticks most boxes , the lack of a reliable cable for future shorts and cuts makes me think there could be better equally refined alternatives.
