No you didn't, That's my question where is tidal coming from?

@smodtactical HE1000se has a very high sensitivity, and the G5 has a very low noise floor, and should be enough to drive the HE1000se. So if we go by measurements there is not a lot to be gained from DAC AMP, but not everybody agrees with that. For me, not sure, but since I personally felt the HD 800S to be better on vocals on a relatively modest setup. Topping E30 and JDS Lab Atom amp, I returned it. If I am paying 2000 USD I expect to have less qualms.

I am not a measurement guy. I think you aren't doing he1kse any favours by saying because its easy to drive it won't scale with better dac + amp. But if thats your approach thats fine.
The chain in my experience makes a massive difference with pretty much everyone headphone I own (including 800S).
Not sure if you like ASR but if you do then please feel free to ignore me. I think ASR is an extremely misguided community that is trying to make hifi 100% objective / measurement based when that simply isn't possible (at least if we are honest to ourselves).
