My set has no issues with squeaking noises at all? Interesting. Fit here is very good, no hot spots and have worn these for 4+ hours for a few days....I dont use any extensions here at all.
MIght want to use the balanced outs for more power out?

This was a review tour unit so it’s possible with others using it and it being transported via shipping something dried out the hinges. Yes balanced cables would of definitely helped. The only mini xlr headphone I have are the lcd2c and I never cared to get a balanced cable for those. I blame some of the hotspot issues on the fact I run the DC audio Aeons almost daily and even putting on my lcd2c causes hotspot issues now when it wasn’t a problem before. I’m guessing It’s just been a while wearing heavy headphones haha

Even with these CONS:
Cons: Too heavy. Squeaky hinges. Cheap feeling adjustment sliders. No included balanced cable.

I personally really liked the sound off the HEDDphones so I thought it was still worth 5 stars. Looking back I wish I was able to the review today as I have much better gear on hand as well as a balanced cable for my LCD2C that would work with the HEDDphone.
