These are a great bargain at the price of $400 - the closed Clear! I even dare to say that in sound stage they do not step back from the Clear. Additionally they sound like speakers - as if you are in a room and you listen to speakers. And are very musical with competence in technicalities. I have friends that prefer these vs any other closed back.

I have tried the Dekoni sheepskin, and fenertrated sheepskin pads. Sheepskin give much more bass but sacrifices high end clarity. Fenestrated are fairly neutral, and a good option if you want to keep the velour pads like new. I am on the lookout for the "custom" Stellia pads at a good price.

But guess what... I am back to the stock velour pads for comfort and good sound from top to bottom.

I use the least expensive Meze 4.4mm balanced cable and happy with driving my Elegias via FiiO M11Pro and Cayin RU6, mostly without EQ, as my source is Tidal (no EQ functions).

They are selling out at 2/3rd the list price I paid in 2019. Great value at these prices.

I always was wondering, if the size of headband and the yoks of m1570 & elegia are the same. It looks very similar to me on the pictures. Can you make some picture of them side by side?
