Unfortunately, I have no experience using Audio Technica, so I am unable to comment. My experience with TWS designs are from JAYs, Sennheiser, and final.

Good review. I have received my pair about two weeks ago and still can't believe that a TWS can produce this sound quality.

Thank you for your compliment. I of course agree that the ZE8000 is revelatory in regards to TWS designs. ✌️

It's actually not possible to get the old CD 16 bits 44.1Khz lossless transmission without true lossless codec like LDAC or LHDC (set at 990Kbps mini) or the next future dedicated APTX Lossless codec...
It seems that the Z8000 doesn't support any of these lossless Codecs of the market.

@Scuba Devils You probably wouldn't regret it, these are special. Not at all just 'good for a TWS'.

Great Review! What is the major difference between the sound of type E tips with the sound of type Q on ZE8000?

@newworld666, thank you for your comment regarding lossless playback. Qualcomm’s website suggests that with the latest Snapdragon Sound technology, lossless playback is approached. Here’s a paste about it.

Snapdragon Sound
Users of Snapdragon SoundTM enabled devices can now upgrade their wireless connectivity even further with
Snapdragon SoundTM technology, designed to give listeners the best possible audio experience for music streaming, gaming, voice and video calls, and more. Snapdragon SoundTM is designed to deliver lossless music and ensure industry- leading low-latency connections.

@shir2, thank you for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the read. It’s really hard to differentiate any sound difference specific to the Type Q & E tips since their designs are so different in regards to fit. The trouble for some is the bloated low end because the Q tip bass port may not perfectly align with the Q tip bass port once the ZE8000 is inserted in the ear, at least this is what happened to me, hence the reason why I ended up using E tips which are my favorite tips on the market due to sound and comfort. They sit on the ZE8000 without interfering with its bass port.

The Q tips are remarkable in terms of fit due to how well they seal since they sit inside the concha cavity, totally securing the ZE8000 even if you’re running or doing any other high movement exercise. I believe some will not have the bloated bass problem I had due to different ear anatomies, but if they do, it’s nice to know there is an option with the Type E.

You do not seem to notice the average, lack of volume problem. I think it is the main let down, followed by the clumsy tips, the strange never sealed enough fit.
It is a good TWS. Still soundwise it is far from any good €100 iem. So very pricey for a music lover. This said in my direct two months experience the cellphone features, these are good, fast and high tech reliable. But not its 'audiophie' features.

@Alino, I never had a problem with attaining a desired volume level, even a louder one. Did you use the ZE8000 app?
