How much do these cost? I'm a pretty big fan of Final's products.

@bhima. I got them for 120 UK sterling. They are the same price as the Kbear Believe and NF audio nm2+

ohh nice! Sounds like a competitive price then. Was worried Final was going to do what Final normally does and overprice their stuff.

Yes. The B series was overpriced. Saying that the E series is priced well. Their sound is very addictive. They know what they are doing when it comes to tuning.

Nice review! How's the sub-bass compared to the Er2xr? I'm planning to get the blessing 2 dusk in near future, do you think the A4000 should be on the list too?

Er2xr are very different. They are proper detail monsters. I think the Dusk would be more your thing. I have the B2. They are very similar to the XR. The dusk are very good from what I've heard.

Thanks for the review. Have you ever heard FD5? If, yes can you compare? I bought FD5 but I don't like it :frowning2:, I'm thinking I should have bought A4000 instead.

You don't like them ? I have read great reviews about them. I would have bought them but I have spent too much money on iems recently. It really depends on what you listen to. I'm guessing they may be too bright and lack a bit of lower mids for some. I absolutely love them I slightly prefer them to the NM2+ and the k Bear Believe. That may change in time.

is the soundstage bigger on the a4000 than the Believe? What do you like about the a4000 over the believe?

It's more holographic and wider. The believe have a bit more depth. Imaging and separation is as good as I've heard in any iem. I've heard the soundstage and imaging are better than the a8000 which cost 2k. I do really like the believe especially when listening to jazz. They are thicker , warmer and richer. A4000 are not coloured whatsoever . They are very neutral and bright. They don't sound like anything I've heard in its price range. But then I wouldn't listen to anything bass heavy . The bass is very neutral. My slight issue with the believe are the slightly overbearing mid bass which at times sound out of control. I do really like them though. I think the a4000 are more unique ! I am listening to them much more than the believes.

You and I have the same issue with the believe: mid bass. I have noticed time, and a silver cable have helped most of it.

I need to cable roll. I have used an IMR which came with Atens. It takes the edge of the mid bass but loses a bit of resolution. I've also had a strange issue where the vocals go towards the left hand side and throws the balance off . It's happened twice and is very annoying

interesting. I use the Limpid Pro with the Believes. seems to tighten things up a bit, and ever so slightly move the believe closer to neutral. Its subtle, though the midbass change was pretty apparent.

Where did you get the cable ?

aliexpress. Its the most expensive cable that I would pay ($30).

I don't like the FD5 because it is missing clarity, detail and separation when I compare them to Final E3000 and FH7 (E3000 is my favorite iem of all time even compared to ier-m9). When I switch to those iems it is almost like a sheet was removed from the sound. Also FD5 seems a bit too bassy to me (too much mid bass), also contrary to the graph, not enough sparkle up top. The tone color is very good with FD5 though, very realistic. What do you think? If E3000 was my favorite IEM would the A4000 be an upgrade?

Very interesting about the FD5! I actually prefer the e2000 to the 3000. They are both great. Yes , in my opinion a4000 while having the final house sound are more resolving and an upgrade

I don't know what I'd think of them now as I'm certain my tastes have changed but I absolutely adored the natural sound of the E4000 and it led me to snub alternatives for quite some time. Awesome IEMs, at the least in my nostalgia.

The same company making a bright natural IEM with huge stage and pinpoint imaging... I'm really interested! Thanks for providing this insightful review, until now I only had Final's own blurb on it. These days I favor models like the NM2+ and Blessing 2, and of course now would be when Final get involved in that niche...
