Not exactly. I was wondering if plugging a Fiio X7 or an IBasso DX220 on a Q5s or Q5s TC was possible. I think it might uprade sound of an AMP5 (Fiio) or AM8/AM8 EX/AM9 (Ibasso). Having multiplu amps with different soundis great, but when I'm home just listening to music without nobothering swapping AMPs would be a real plus.

In a summary, would :
1/ FIIO X7 (I think I'd need an AMP0) -> Q5s (or TC) -> headphones
2/ IBasso DX220 -> Q5s (or TC) -> headphones
possible

How does it compare to Mojo? Under 400$ which gear would you recommend for portable use?

It's been a long time since a listened to the Mojo. I was never impressed. Warmish and congested. Never liked it but that's personal.
Except from the Q5S TC I would consider the EarMen TR Amp or the Sparrow for balanced use.

Btw - what headphones do you use...

Mostly Meze 99 Classic & some IEM's (ITOO, BL-03, FH3) on the go. When home, I would love to be able to drive my Sundara reasonably too. Sounds like Mojo might not be for me then, cause I have the same issue with my current portable (xCAN), sounds a bit too warm with my bassy/warm headphones.

I've read good reviews about the TR-Amp & Sparrow but I'm really leaning towards a wireless experience. BTR5 really spoiled me in that aspect, it was such a pleasure to use on the go and while it sounded good, it's sound quality wasn't as good as my desktop setup (iFi Zen Stack) and I sold it to get something that sounded closer to my desktop audio.

It seems that really your best bet is the Q5S TC.
I definitely recommend it to you.
Try to find out before they are out of stock.
It is an super upgraded BTR5.
