Well written.
Your impressions reflect - more or less - my own first impressions as well.
How many hours you have on them?

@Ichos Firstly, I left it for some burn in for approx. 48 hrs... Then some listening for another 48-55 hrs using different combinations of cables, DAC/AMPs and so forth... After that, did some 12 hrs of A-B ing with FD5.

Nicely written review mate. I guess i am good with FD5 for now. Will look for something other than FH5s as another IEM.

Great review. I agree with most of the impression here, except the treble peak. I always puzzled when people mentioned the treble peak, so much so that I specifically looked out for that. Yesterday in a headfi show held in Chengdu, I had heard 16-18 iems, each running through some test song clips. I would say roughly 60% of them were more peaky in the treble than the FH5S. And only 2 of them I would say it’s unpleasant. I wonder if the units sold outside of China the same as those sold in China. As a matter of fact, if not because of the fit issue, it would have been my preferred iem for long listening. I found the sound inoffensive from top to bottom, great for listening while working.

Can't hear any annoying or fatiguing treble peak.

@Ichos like I mentioned in my review it happens on certain occasions/tracks depending on your music preferences.... Such as: "Rickover's Dream by Michael Hedges" or "California by Joni Mitchell" or even "Telegraph Road by Dire Straits"... Btw, what dac/amp have you paired this with?

@zeissiez the peaks in treble are there for sure unless you are pairing it with a warm sounding dc/amp. Also, it depends on music preferences - whether your preferred music has any in that region like certain vocals & instruments like cymbals,etc...
