Oh my gosh....I'm pretty sure that you just gave this a harsh review because of something that's supposed to happen. Now, did you remember to set your TV to PCM Output? The same thing happened to me for 30 seconds before I read the white sticker that covered half of my D3 that said "Set TV to PCM Output".

Who can help me confirm that our official website is unreachable? www.fiio.com.cn, and also you can send emai to market@fiio.com.cn which mentioned on the user manual, and contact the seller, read carefully about the notice which we put into the box. our D3 is not design to support multi channel format like dolby digital.
I don't think this is fair to us but anyway I can understand your situation.

I have zero issues with my D3, and I own some pretty good equipment. If people actually DID their homework, they'd know how to get this working properly. For it's intended use, it's a damn good DAC for linear stereo signals. Use the D3 with my secondary setup: my soundbar as well as my E9 with no issues. For the low asking price, it sounds great. Even better than the E7's DAC.
