Nice review, but this is one of those strange cases...I demoed this and instantly hated it; then tried the Valkyries and loved them, bought the Vals... Strange...

@szore did you feel too bright ? my experience from zeus is brightly mastered records become too bright to enjoy on loud volume, so can Wraith be more worse ? but I think warm or reference with good masters will definitely be enjoyable with wraith

It was a few months ago, and it only took a minute for me to finish, but it seemed like a cacophony; no coherency, no transparency, no air or layering, it just didn't jive with me. Then I tried the Valkyries, and it was lush and wonderful, 3d holographic with the best treble I have ever heard. Airy, clear, defined, perfect tone and timbre... The first song I tried was Sailing by Christopher Cross, and the triangles were hanging above and in front of me, and the bass was rich and detailed,,,the mids too were vibrant, and vocals sound great. And all of this has great soundstage and coherency. Now I have the Cleopatra with my SE100, and I go back and forth with the stock Eros II cable. Each cable brings it's own character.

Excellent review! One thing I would add is this - don't be afraid to crank up the volume on the Wraith. Really sounds best at moderate to higher volume. I think there is a tendency to demo these at low volume because of the high sensitivity. Wraith also responds really well to EQ. With as little as 2-3 dB adjustment, you can tailor to exactly what you want.

I do not feel the Wraith is too bright at all.

@Ike1985 just received my Wraith today and you're right - it's no way a bright IEM ! I Easily drove from my cheapest source and cable in my drawer - ZX300 and Ares cable - no hiss or microphonics. Or my ears just cant hear hiss from noise floors : P Even with PHA-3 paring is fine too...
