As someone with a large head, I can confirm that they're definitely uncomfortable (for me). I've actually gotten used to the constant pressure of the clamping force. They just hurt my antihelix (only on my right ear!?) after an hour or two. My ears also get quite red from the clamping, but it's not too bothersome.
