Great review! I just received my pair, and my impressions are pretty similar to yours. I didn't find the included tips to be very good though...the silicone used was pretty stiff and rough, to me.
Also, one more thing, the Tridents actually do have an indicator for which ear to put them in, they have a red and blue ring on both of the earpieces - red for the right one, blue for the left one.
I can't say how these compare to the Yuin PK3's because I have not heard the PK3's sorry. As for how they sound with the Foo Fighters, I think they sound good for their price. They can get a little congested sounding in some of the faster songs but I think any headphone in this price range will so there is no blame on the DUNUs. I do enjoy the tonal balance that these things have quite a bit and think they work great for this music. As I've mentioned they are a little laid back sounding and not the most detailed but for the price they are good. Honestly yes you can find better but your going to have to spend at least $80 to get it so for what these cost I say their pretty good.
Honestly, among the people in the review event (myself included) I think you described the sound of the Trident the best. Just about everything you said about the sound I agree with, and there's a lot there that I would have wanted to say but wasn't able to in my own piece. Great job!
