Tnx for the review. These OracleII 02 are so great for the money! (warmer sound, not super clear) But I see only 1?
Also, try the SX52B at $15 a pc. An even bigger improvement with seethrough clarity and soundstage. Or the $50 8802 which is on par with Sparkos and Burson

Great review! I just ordered one myself and can't wait to do some OP-amp rolling. Question: Is the line out fixed volume or does it adjust with the A5's volume knob?

Good question, I've not had any need to use aux yet. One review states that the high pass filter adjusts via line out, so logically the volume control must also.

@]eep I bought a pair of Oracle 2, but one was a dud, so I've ordered another to replace it. SX52B are next on my OA list, I returned the first pair, cos they generated a high pitched tone via my A07 amp.

@activatorfly the SX52B do not work in the Fosi ZA3 either. So I think the same might have happened in your A07. But they do work here. And in other gear they work just fine. Opamps are not always a drop in replacement yet they all use the came dip8 socket. It's just like tubes. Only now they usually are more like ne5532 in V and A. For the price it's always worth a try. You can always use them in a dac or something.

It looks like they don't have much in stock yet. Prices are suddenly going ballistic. But on the Douk website it's still $90. I just ordered one. But I guess it will take a long time (months).

]eep Yep, it's weird that SX52B's are amp specific, other reviewers are rolling them with the A5 with zero issues, so I'll order them from a different vendor next time. My goto DAC the Q11 already has V7's installed. Not sure about A5 stock levels, but I'll ask Douk about it asap. The US tariff is a 10% hike? Hope this doesn't happen in the UK also...fingers crossed!
