That pad issue madd me sell my AEON really quick. I wish I still have it to try the new Dekoni's.

Great review! While I do have the foam deformation issue, the biggest problem for me is the stiffness of the original pads. Any info on how the Dekoni pads compare to the originals?

Well my stock pads are fairly worn in at this point but the Dekoni pads are firm compared to my stock pads. Idk what they would be like against fresh stock pads.

Dan Clark showing how to fix the Aeon pad. He's using the Aeon 1 that use the same pad as Aeon 2.

I do this about every 10 days on my Aeon 2 open. My pads look like new.

Would you recommend the Elite fenestrated Sheep skin over the AEON 2 Stock Pads for the Flow open?

I agree with this review except one point. I've got the Aeon 2, and gone through every pad including the Noire which I hate as they misshape so easily. I also prefer the Elite sheepskin pit of the 4 I've tested, but unlike yourself I found them less sibilant than the Noire pads

I bought a pair of Elite pads for my Aeon flow RT and it was rubbish. Let's see where to start...

1) The shape does not fit the Aeon at all and I had to take the plastic backing off to trim it to shape so that it fits.
2) The adheresive is so weak it comes off after a day and I had to use other double-sided tape to keep the pads on.
3) The shape of the foam is not consistent between the L and R pads. The right pad looks likes a mushroom and overall it just looks crap.

The only positive point I'll give it is the material of the leather is nice. Too bad the fit and finish make these a terrible choice. Would not recommend it. I'm going back to factory pads from DCA.

Bummer, I didn’t have those issues when I did that review. Hopefully it’s just bad QC and not consistent.
