Jomo Audio Nautilus

General Information

Exquisite Design and Superior Craftsmanship

The Nautilus features a stunning gold-plated brass shell, adorned with natural mother-of-pearl inlays, exuding elegance and sophistication. Its compact size ensures a comfortable and secure fit for a wide range of ear shapes and sizes, making it ideal for prolonged listening sessions.

Inspiration Behind the Design

The Nautilus draws its design inspiration from the steampunk aesthetic, heavily influenced by the illustrations in the novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." Our design team conducted extensive research on steampunk art and literature to create a product that embodies the essence of this unique style. The brass elements throughout the design are reminiscent of the legendary steampunk submarine, the Nautilus. The mother-of-pearl inlays symbolize the mysterious beauty of the deep sea, while the faceplate design evokes the feeling of sitting in the submarine's control room, peering out through its large glass windows. This intricate design not only enhances the visual appeal but also immerses users in a rich, imaginative world.

Innovative Driver Configuration for Superior Sound Quality

At the heart of the Nautilus lies a sophisticated driver setup that delivers an extraordinary audio experience:

6mm Planar Driver for pristine high frequencies, ensuring every detail is captured with clarity.

10mm Dynamic Driver with Nanodiamond Coated DLC Diaphragm for full-range audio. The Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating offers superior rigidity and lightweight properties, resulting in reduced distortion and enhanced sound clarity.

Two Bone Conduction Drivers from Sonion for mid-range texture rendering, enhancing the richness and depth of the audio.
These drivers are housed within a 3D printed Asymmetrical Co-axial Acoustic Chamber (AC-Squared). The planar driver is positioned in front of the dynamic driver, with a front-firing sound bore connected via a 3D printed waveguide. This innovative co-axial configuration, along with the asymmetrical acoustic chamber, provides optimal resonance across different frequency ranges, resulting in a well-balanced and natural sound signature.

Exceptional Sound Signature

The Nautilus delivers a sound signature characterized by:

Punchy and Deep Bass that provides a solid foundation for all genres of music.

Emotionally Expressive Vocals that simulate the presence of the singer right in front of the listener.

Detailed and Smooth High Frequencies with plenty of air and sparkle, capturing the nuances of every note.

High-Quality Cable Included

The Nautilus comes equipped with a newly designed, hand-braided copper cable. Made with high-purity OCC copper wire and terminated with a gold-plated OFC 4.4mm balanced plug, this cable ensures optimal signal transmission and durability, further enhancing the listening experience.

I'm seriously considering selling a decent lot of my IEMs to purchase the Nautilus... They sound perfect for me... and the look is 11/10 for my taste. I believe there's NO excuse for IEMs to look bland in 2024. Anyone who's heard them, would you guess they'd be a good match for me based on my signature collection? Currently, the H60, Pula PA02, S12 2024, ZS12 Pro X, and CCA Trio are basically my faves, with the Penon Fan 3 and Tiandirenhe TD08 Pro also being very strongly liked by me [but not officially ranked yet]
Pula is probably my favorite, and the H60, even though not exactly my preferred sound signature, is so holographic and spatial, I still love it. I prefer deep, visceral, punchy bass that doesn't bleed and warm up / muddy the mids, clear forward vocals, and heavenly highs haha.

Muddy Nautilus is not, for sure.
Its bass may sound thumping in some recordings or even light in others (recently compared to Fan2 and Letshouer S12 2024). It sounds textured, defined and fast. Consider it needs power. Dry tech data provided apart, Nautilus must have some low (100db?) sensitivity, on par or close to Penon Quattto or FA B1.
After some day I find it having a mainly bright sound signature (notwithstanding its DD and double BC). It sounds great and technical, not without some 'fun' appealing sound, with my mainly acoustic music. It is very good sounding with vocals and acoustic instruments, drums and bass. Its midly bright/analitical sound signature makes Nautilus sounds better with good recordings.

https://www.jomoaudio.com/products/Nautilus that may be your best bet.. It's an amazing IEM. It stands out amongst all my IEMs for its sound signature. I find the Nautilus to be deeply engaging with warm leaning sources. The Nautilus also scales well with proper amplification i.e Violectric HPA V222 & V550. It's a diamond in the rough. Big thanks to @MusicTeck for spotlighting Jomo Audio and carrying the Nautilus. This is easily one of the best IEMs I have ever purchased. Considering everything in my signature... That's saying a lot.

yea... it's a gem for sure, and looks the part. best note resolution, incisiveness, texture, not to mention STAGE! My only nit-pick would be I'd prefer more SUB-bass. but it CAN kick hard when called for.

Try it with the XDuoo XD05T, iFi Go Bar Kensei, or iDSD Signature Finale. It's there if you like pressure and the subs going wooom wooom..

heh... my only sources are the DC-Elite, Fiio KA5, or the Hiby R4 directly... maybe I should invest in some more sources, but honestly, I was HOPING to get by with those few GOOD sources. I'm interested in IEMs, not so much in source-rolling/collecting.

It never hurts to have a handful of sources. I have some IEMs that I had no idea what they were truly capable of until you accidentally stumble on that magical one that has undeniable synergy. This happens at random price points. Some times it's a sub $200 dongle. Sometimes it's some gear that was reported to have no redeeming qualities and you demo it with an open mind + zero expectations to avoid disappointment.. This hobby makes no sense like that sometimes.
