Great reviews of at least three products! What a privilege to listen to music through a set up like that - well out of my reach, but if those lottery balls ever drop right...

Cheer's... Same here, that's why I've started saving now as my numbers never come up!
It was a privilege to listen to these for longer than would normally get if you demoed these from a dealer at home say.  Just keep doing those numbers!....

Contrary - the original Hugo sounds better then the TT if fed from a clean source. The TT seems to "syrup" over everything a little too much. Kind of proving the point that less is more. YMMV ...

mmm.....I don't regret expelling my Chord Hugo from my home and replacing it with the Chord TT. After several weeks of use, I can't imagine myself going back to the Chord Hugo. Not for all the marbles in the world. Excellent review. Just one question: why is your room so blue? It is depressing.

Raypin - Thanks, The Hugo still has that portability though for going away and can't see myself carting a TT through customs at an airport or lugging around the country to hotels when I stay away.  Yes, there is a difference after hearing the TT but I would rather have the Hugo Portable than just a dap when I go away. At home ideally yes the TT is the ticket if you have half good cans or a speaker system. Err, can't really see any blue in there but room was due to main spot lights off and ambient lighting from led strip lights around my Plasma screen omitting that lighting effect! I'm not depressed listening to that set up anyway's! Lol.

Nothing wrong with a little cool blue light

What a fantastic review. That must have taken some time. Thank you. Very interested in the product now.

Joeexp - Know where you may be coming from but i can not ignore the opening up of the soundstage, extra natural extension in lower bass response and more full bodied controlled sound with authority other the smaller brother Hugo. Did notice my ZX1 dap was not in the same league as my Tag cd player for source although there is the anomaly if one was usb feed and the other Digital coax.

Yes, a positive spin on blue light is a reflection on one's happiness! also forgot to mention to Raypin who was so interested in my lighting technique there was also changing light from TV broadcast on my plasma at play also which was all part of the chill relaxed low light shots taken of the Hugo-TT

Badas - Thank's, It felt like a Biblical epic at the time! It was made longer by the addition of two nice headphones to listen to it with.
Yes... try and get to listen to the TT if you can especially if you have original Hugo you can then hear the extra differences the TT brings to the table (top-TT!).

Nice review. It is difficult to articulate what you hear and how to best describe things but you did well.  My rig is strictly portable and don't honestly have a purpose of having a desktop set up.  I do hope that someday soon Cord will have an upgraded (versions 2) of the portable Cord Hugo that gets the sound closer to the TT...
Sincerely,
-Speed

Tried to read, but paragraph-long sentences with no punctuation just made my head spin. Punctuation is cool.

Speedracer1 - Cheer's, the TT is a different beast aimed at different needs to original Hugo so will be less relevant to some who are strictly portable like yourself but yern for that extra performance the TT now gives which has the extra juice there for some of those harder to drive cans that the original Hugo just run out of steam to drive with real authority, but is aimed at been at the centre of a speaker system as well as a more encapsulating experience listening to those headphones with the TT than the portable Hugo.

The Hugo2 which when it does happen one day we will all expect or assume the improvement in the DAC with longer tap rate but the TT has shown the extra benefits just applying improvements in the amp section can bring and would be nice to think they will upgrade this to the original in some way next time round depending if and how they can physically implement it within the restricted space the portable Hugo allows...  But yes, imagine a portable Hugo with that extra sound-stage and space for music to breath and a nice lower added bass extension like the TT has would not go a miss.

Hi Zachawry, hope your heads stop spinning now.  In a nutshell you need to listen to this ; )

....Or just admire the pictures of the Hugo TT with the headphones on show.
